A cold and rainy day here, I love this kind of weather. Contrast staining this asymmetrical volcano and smoking the very first Tuban I ever made. I’m still surprised how well it smokes, despite the small proportions. I’m thinking of re-visiting this shape. What you guys think? Leonard Cohen again on the turntable. Such a great album. What is the moment you count as the moment you started being a pipemaker? For me it’s the day when I officially started making pipes under the label „Heinemann Pipes“. I made pipes before and I see that time as my apprenticeship time. So, exactly ten years ago I started being a pipemaker. To celebrate my tenth year of pipemaking over the coming year I‘m going to make five sets of two of some of my signature shapes. A set of two Tubans, a set of two Doras, etc. Stay tuned. And if you didn’t know what the number on my pipes stands for, it’s the years of being a pipemaker I were when that pipe has been made. Enjoy your sunday, everyone.
